Responsibility & Care

Sustainability

How we build, what we use, and who we honour in the process.

"Sustainability is not a policy. It is a reflection of whether we truly believe the things we say — that what endures matters, and that we are responsible for what we leave behind."

We respectfully acknowledge the Kaurna people as the Traditional Custodians of the land upon which our studio and operations are based in South Australia.

We pay our respects to their Elders past, present, and emerging, and honour their enduring connection to land, waters, and culture.

Five principles we
hold ourselves to.

01
Australian Owned & Made

Thomas Anne is a South Australian business — owned, operated, and built here. Every case is designed and crafted within our state, working with local suppliers and artisans where we can. We don't offshore the work and we don't outsource the responsibility. What leaves our studio was made by people we know and trust.

02
Giving Back to Nature

The timber we work with comes from the land. A portion of every Thomas Anne sale is contributed to Trees for Life South Australia — supporting reforestation and habitat restoration across our state.

It is a small acknowledgement of a simple truth: we take from the natural world to build what we build, and we owe something back in return.

03
Honest Sourcing

We choose suppliers we can stand behind. The materials in a Thomas Anne case — the timber, the hardware, the foam — are sourced from people who operate with integrity. We are a small business and we know our supply chain because we have spoken to everyone in it. That accountability matters to us and it informs every purchasing decision we make.

04
Built by Two People

Thomas Anne was founded by Bradley and Cristy-Anne — a partnership in life and in work. The business reflects who we are: a small, considered operation that values craft over volume and quality over speed. We make decisions together, we stand behind everything we produce, and we are directly accountable to every person who buys from us.

05
Always Improving

We don't claim to have everything right. The materials we use, the packaging we ship in, the suppliers we work with — these are all things we continue to examine and improve as the business grows. What we can say honestly is that we ask the questions, we take the answers seriously, and we make changes when we find a better way. That is the only standard we know how to hold ourselves to.

The cases we build are designed to last generations. It follows that the way we build them should reflect that same commitment to what endures — in the materials we choose, the people we work with, and the land we operate on.

"We build things to last. We should operate the same way."

We Do Not Store History. We Help It Speak.
